| Class Description RISC Management is a system of mechanics of arrest and defensive tactics, which consist of verbal tactics coupled with physical alternatives. The course focuses on a confrontational continuum which defines four general levels of force to be employed by police officers in the face of aggression, resistance, and/or hostility. The continuum describes specific suspect behavior and defines appropriate police response to such behavior. (PREREQUISITE: This course is restricted to participation by fully or provisionally certified law enforcement officers.) |
