This class meets 3 hours/week, plus 3 hours/week online, though students in this class have the option of completing all of the work online. The class is offered using WITC’s Interactive Television (ITV) network; with the instructor physically located at one location and teaching classes to several other locations at the same time. In this setting, the level of participation for each student is determined by the student and your attendance and interaction from your site. For this math class, the ITV meetings are optional and will be used to introduce the math and answer student questions. The course materials are the same whether you chose the ITV or online option. There is a schedule with due dates for all assignments and the course has a Blackboard site.

Class Description
This course covers ...real numbers, basic operations, linear equations, proportions with one variable, percents, simple interest, compound interest, annuity, apply math concepts to the purchasing/buying process, apply math concepts to the selling process, and basic statistics with business/consumer applications. PREREQUISITE: Successful scores on placement test or 10834109 Pre-Algebra.
