| Class Description This course is designed to teach the beginner how to use the manual engine lathes. Students will learn about lathes, associated processes, lathe tools, and related safety/maintenance issues. This course is a prerequisite to more advanced manual lathe courses and CNC courses. Students will learn the basics of metal cutting on these machines so that when they get to CNC machines they can focus on the unique aspects of the computerized machine. |
