Important Class Notes
Celebrate the seasons of fall and winter by painting landscapes using pastel sticks (not oil pastels), layering the pigment on paper. Use your own photos as inspiration, focusing on color and texture to create the illusion of depth. Your instructor will demonstrate pastel painting techniques on a variety of papers. Explore the exhibit at Cable Natural History Museum centering around phenology, how plants and animals respond to changes in climate or season; and timing of seasonal events. This class is for all levels, though basic drawing experience is helpful. Please note: this class is being offered two days in a row. You may sign up for one or both. You may bring a sack lunch or lunch may be ordered in class from Brick House Café.
