| Class Description The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider course is designed to train and certify medical, nursing, and paramedical personnel who are actively engaged in the practice of ACLS as defined by the AHA. PREREQUISITES: 1. Applicants must be physicians, nurses, paramedics, or allied health professionals whose daily occupation demands proficiency and certification in the knowledge and skills of advanced cardiac life support. 2. Applicants must have a basic knowledge of reading and interpreting EKG rhythms prior to attending this course. 3. CPR Certification within the past 12 months is mandatory. 4. Only those participants who can meet the certification requirements (86 percent proficiency on written test and satisfactory performance at testing stations) will be granted ACLS provider certification. |
